Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, Guwahati, soared to unprecedented heights in 2024, recording its highest-ever numbers in international passenger traffic and aircraft movements since commercial operations began. Managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, the airport achieved remarkable growth, driven by a surge in both domestic and international travel.

Cargo operations also marked a milestone, with the airport handling 10,089 metric tons (MT) of cargo in 2024, including a record-breaking 225 MT of perishable cargo in December. This growth underscores the airport’s pivotal role in regional trade and logistics.
Adding to its accolades, LGBI Airport achieved Level 2 Accreditation under the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Customer Experience program, reflecting its commitment to providing world-class service and enhancing passenger satisfaction.
With these achievements, LGBI Airport continues to establish itself as a key gateway in Northeast India, setting benchmarks for operational excellence and customer service.
