Kohima Marches with 175-Metre Tricolour to Honour Armed Forces’ Victory in Operation Sindoor

Nagaland Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along today led the Tiranga Yatra in Kohima.
Students and faculty of Kohima College and TM School, NCC cadets, the Assam Rifles Pipe Band, and officials from the Departments of Tourism and Higher Education participated in the Yatra held to honour the courage and success of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor.
In his brief address, the Minister expressed deep pride and gratitude for the bravery of the armed forces. He stated, “The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and our Armed Forces have stood firmly against tyranny, terrorism, and every force that threatens the nation. We are proud of them. We stand in solidarity even from this easternmost corner of the country, here in the capital city of Kohima.”
The march began at Kohima College and culminated at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat. A key highlight of the event was the 175-metre-long Indian national flag carried by participants throughout the route, symbolising unity and patriotism.
The Tiranga Yatra not only honoured the valorous soldiers but also inspired a strong sense of unity and national pride among the participants and onlookers.
