Intensifiying the drive against smuggling of contraband in Guwahati, the Central Revenue Intelligence Bureau seized 1000 kgs of marijuana. The marijuana had been brought in from Tripura to Guwahati in a mini truck.
The mini truck bound for Uttar Pradesh was intercepted by the CRIB team at Khanapara. The marijuana was seized, while a person has also been arrested. The seized marijuana has been estimated to be an amount of Rs 1 crore.
