In the next 24 hours, hurricane Mousumi is forecasted to enter Northeastern region. The hurricane will be making its way from Myanmar and is expected to cause heavy rainfall in the region.

This has been predicted by the Regional Meteorological Department. Rainfalls have already begun in several parts of Assam and Meghalaya and the intensity is expected to increase during the next 24 hours.
