Guwahati Shocker: Student Jumps to Death Inside College Campus

According to reports, she left home at 8:30 AM to attend college and soon after reaching the college, she took the drastic step.
In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old student of Geetanagar College, also known as Kanya Mahavidyalaya, jumped from the first floor of the college building and died.
The deceased, a resident of Silpukhuri in Guwahati, was a first-semester BA English student.
According to reports, she left home at 8:30 AM to attend college and soon after reaching the college, she took the drastic step.
She was immediately rushed to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), where medical staff declared her dead.
The shocking incident has left students and faculty in shock and grief. College authorities and the police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to her death.
As of now, the reason behind her action remains unknown.
The incident has raised concerns over mental health awareness and support systems in educational institutions, highlighting the need for better counselling and emotional support for students.
