Guwahati: Father Demands ‘Painful Death’ for Wife and Her Lover for Killing His 10-Year-Old Son

Guwahati Murder: Dipali had been living separately with her son after her separation from husband Bikash Rajabongshi.
The grieving father of the 10-year-old boy, who was allegedly murdered by his mother Dipali Rajabongshi and her lover Jitumoni Haloi in Guwahati, has demanded a brutal punishment and a painful death for the accused.
Expressing his anguish, he said that mere capital punishment would be “too easy” for them.
“They should be tortured to death, just like they tortured my innocent child. A simple death penalty will end their suffering too quickly,” he said, urging authorities to ensure the accused feel the same pain they inflicted.
Angry locals also demanded strict action, calling for life imprisonment for both the accused.
Outraged by the heinous nature of the crime, they said the accused should face severe punishment so that they fully realise the horror of their actions and feel the pain of the innocent life lost.
Dipali had been living separately with her son after her separation from husband Bikash Rajabongshi.
The accused murdered the 10-year-old and stuffed his body inside a suitcase, which was later dumped near the Basistha Temple on Sunday.
In an attempt to cover up the crime, Dipali even filed a false missing person report at the Dispur Police Station.
However, inconsistencies in her statements raised suspicion. She was detained for interrogation, where she eventually confessed to the murder. Based on her statement, police recovered the boy’s body stuffed in a suitcase near Basistha Temple.
Both the accused are now in police custody.
