Graveyard robbers steal 19 steel crosses from cementery in Tura

As per sources robbers have stole around 19 metal crosses from the cemetery of Cathedral Parish, Tura on Sunday.

In a shocking incident serious cases of graveyard robbery have been reported from Meghalaya.

As per sources robbers on Sunday have stole around 19 metal crosses from the cemetery of Cathedral Parish, Tura.

Police have received an F.I.R wherein it was reported that on 12th May, 2024 around 12:00 noon to 1.00 pm, some unknown miscreants entered the graveyard of Cathedral Parish, R.C Road, Tura, uprooted and stole around 19 metal crosses from the graves.

More than 15 Crosses has been damaged in an attempt to uproot and steal the metal cross from the grave, the report added.

It is to be noted that only metal crosses were stolen from the grave leaving behind the wooden cross.
Meanwhile a case has been registered and investigation is in progress.
