Fresh COVID-19 case reported in Manipur, count rises to 27

One more fresh COVID-19 positive case has emerged in Manipur. As per a latest health department press release, the latest case has been detected at the VRDL, RIMS in Imphal.

One more fresh COVID-19 positive case has emerged in Manipur. As per a latest health department press release, the latest case has been detected at the VRDL, RIMS in Imphal.

The person is reportedly a 26-year-old hailing from Imphal West district. The person had left Chennai via train on May 10 and had reached Jiribam on May 13.

His swab sample had been collected on May 19 after he started showing symptoms at the quarantine centre.

All necessary control measures and contact tracing has been initiated in this matter. The total number of cases in the state has mounted to 27.

Meanwhile, a total of 112 samples from the other individuals in the same quarantine centre have been tested and have been found to be negative.
