Four Aspirants from Northeast Shine in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024: Among them are two aspirants from Arunachal Pradesh, and one each from Assam and Manipur.

In a moment of pride for the Northeast, four candidates from the region have successfully cleared the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. Among them are two aspirants from Arunachal Pradesh, and one each from Assam and Manipur.

From Arunachal Pradesh, Dr Zing Messar secured All India Rank (AIR) 846, while Bullo Manku achieved AIR 645. Congratulating them on their success, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media platform X and wrote, “A big round of applause for Dr Zing Messar and Bullo Manku for successfully clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024! Your remarkable achievements have made Arunachal Pradesh proud and will inspire many young minds to follow in your footsteps. Wishing you both continued success in the next phase of your journey!”

From Assam, Bhaswata Saikia of Nagaon district cleared the exam with AIR 474. A graduate of IIT Guwahati (2018), Saikia had previously cleared the UPSC exam in 2023 with AIR 552 and is currently serving as an IPS officer in Pune.

And from Manipur, Jerry Lalhratthang Buongpui secured AIR 999. The Hmar Students’ Association, Joint Headquarters Delhi, extended heartfelt congratulations to him, expressing gratitude to God for this milestone and hailing his success as a proud moment for the community.

These achievements stand as a testament to the growing talent pool in the Northeast and serve as inspiration for aspiring civil servants across the region.
