Ronald Sapa Tlau Passes Away: A senior figure in the MPCC, Tlau served as its Vice President until his passing.
Former Rajya Sabha MP from Mizoram, Ronald Sapa Tlau, passed away at the age of 71 this morning at 8 a.m. at AIIMS, Delhi, due to heart-related complications.
A senior figure in the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Tlau served as its Vice President until his passing. He represented Mizoram in the Rajya Sabha from 2014 to 2020, during which he played a key role in establishing Zoram Medical College and Thenzawl Golf Course.
Beyond politics, Tlau was a noted author of four books Raltiang Ram, Sakhaw Zalenna, Zoramthar, and Hindu Kulmut. He was also a devout Seventh-day Adventist Christian.
His long-standing service included roles as MPCC General Secretary, chief spokesperson of the party in Mizoram, and chairman of Zoram Electronics Development Corporation Limited (ZENICS) since 2009. He also contested the Hrangturzo Assembly seat in 2008.
Ronald Sapa Tlau’s contributions to public life and development in Mizoram have been widely respected and his passing marks the end of a significant political and literary journey.
