Former Assam CM Prafulla Mahanta’s Daughter Caught on Camera Slapping Driver with Slipper

In a shocking incident, former Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta’s daughter Prajoyeeta Kashyap was caught on camera slapping their family driver with slipper.
The former Chief Minister’s daughter can be seen in the video, hitting the driver repeatedly.
Prajoyeeta alleged that the driver often came to work drunk and had on many occasions, passed lewd comments on her. He had even threatened her.
“Yesterday, he came drunk and knocked on my door. If my hitting him in self defence is wrong then I apologise for that,” Prajoyeeta told media persons while narrating the entire incident.
The incident that took place in the official residence of the former CM in the capital complex of Dispur, has sparked controversy, with public opinion divided over the actions of both detachments.
However, the driver has refuted these allegations, presenting a different version of events. He claimed that, apart from driving the government vehicle, he was also required to handle personal errands, including grocery shopping.
He further alleged that Kashyap had a history of mistreating drivers, leading to frequent staff resignations.
According to him, the incident gained attention only because the assault happened outside the house.
This incident has also brought to light the fact that how come Prafulla Mahanta who is no longer an MLA is being allowed to reside inside the capital complex in a residence meant for MLAs only.
