2 Die in Road Accident in Assam's Darrang: The deceased have been identified as Sukur Ali and Jamir Ali, residence of Gorapori village.
In a tragic road accident dampening Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, two persons were killed while two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Assam’s Darrang district today.
The accident occurred at Gorapori Nisopi Kherajgaon under Dhula Police Station when a Bajaj Pulsar and a TVS Glamour crashed into each other. The two individuals died on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Sukur Ali from Algachar village and Jamir Ali, residence of Gorapori village.
The injured, identified as Kitab Ali and Nasiruddin Ali, were initially admitted to Mangaldai Civil Hospital. However, one of them, who sustained critical injuries, was later referred to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal crash.
