Duleep Trophy 2023: Sikkim’s Nilesh Lamichaney named Vice Captain in Northeast Zone team

Nagaland’s batting all-rounder Rongsen Jonathan will be leading the team in the Duleep Trophy

In a remarkable achievement for Sikkimese cricket, seasoned campaigner Nilesh Lamichaney has been named as the Vice Captain in the Northeast Zone team for the forthcoming Duleep Trophy beginning on June 28.

The tournament will end on July 28, 2023.

The Northeast zonal selection committee, chaired by zonal convener Naba Bhattacharjee has named Palzor Tamang in the 15-member squad and added Lee Yong Lepcha into the reserves of the team.

Additionally, Coach Sonam Palden Bhutia will be coaching the NE Zone team.

Nagaland’s batting all-rounder Rongsen Jonathan will be leading the team in the Duleep Trophy.

Before the tournament, an 11-day camp will be held at the Nagaland Cricket Association Ground in Sovima near Dimapur from June 12-23.
