Death threat to Biren Singh: Imphal West Police summons Independent candidate

Independent candidate Moirangthem T Nongshaba had threatened to kill Manipur CM N Biren Singh during a live TV show on April 2
The Imphal West Police has asked Moirangthem T Nongshaba, the Independent candidate for the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat to appear before it by 11 am today.
The summon is in connection with the death threat that the Independent candidate gave to Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh during a live TV show on April 2.
The Police notice read, “During the investigation of FIR, it is revealed that there are reasonable grounds to question you to ascertain facts and circumstances from you about the present investigation. Hence you are directed to appear before Me on 05-04-2024 at 11 A.M at Imphal Police Station without fail.”
Failing to appear before police can lead to his arrest under section 41 A (3), and (4) of CrPC, the Police notice to Nongshaba signed by the Officer-In charge of the Imphal West Police Station dated April 4, 2024 said.
