Mizoram: Lalhmachhuana discussed the medical needs of refugees in the area and urged the security forces to maintain a cordial relationship.

Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) President Lalhmachhuana, along with other CYMA officials, recently visited the Assam Rifles and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed at Parva-III in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district. Parva-III, located on the southern border of Mizoram, shares its boundaries with Bangladesh and Myanmar.

During the visit, Lalhmachhuana discussed the medical needs of refugees in the area and urged the security forces to maintain a cordial relationship with the local population. The delegation also toured the Arakan Army Duty Camp, where they briefly interacted with stationed personnel, discussing regional security, trade, and commerce.

Furthering their commitment to cross-border cooperation, the CYMA delegation visited Zorinpui, a village on the Myanmar border, to assess trade activities and explore ways to support local communities.

The visit was part of the Tuichang Group YMA Conference, where Lalhmachhuana was the Guest of Honour. As part of their humanitarian efforts, CYMA donated Rs 5 lakh from the refugee fund, along with silpaulin and other essential supplies, to aid the local YMA branch and refugees in the area.

At present, around 60 families reside in the village, hosting approximately 180 refugees from 40 families. CYMA’s engagement highlights its ongoing commitment to refugee welfare and regional stability.
