Continuing its crackdown against the cross-border movement of insurgents belonging to different groups having bases in neighbouring Myanmar, security forces arrested two cadres of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) near the Indo-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district of Manipur, on Saturday.

The arrested PLA cadres have been identified as Ningombam Priyo Singh (21) and Saikhom Devjit Singh (21).

“On 26.10.2024, security forces apprehended two cadres of PLA near Indo-Myanmar border, Tengnoupal District. They were identified as i. Ningombam Priyo Singh (21 yrs) and ii. Saikhom Devjit Singh (21 yrs),” Manipur Police tweeted.

In a separate incident, security forces also arrested a cadre of PREPAK(PRO) near Yanghoubung village, close to the Indo-Myanmar border.

The PREPAK (PRO) cadre has been identified as Robert Lalhahdam.

One INSAS Excalibur Rifle was recovered from Robert’s possession.
