Congress MP from Arunachal Pradesh East, Ninong Ering has wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to raise the issues of stapled visas and Siang river with China.

Ering has said in the letter the PM Modi should take up the issues with Chinese President Xi Jinping when they meet during the G20 Summit in Argentina later this week.

The MP stated in the letter that China issuing stapled visas to people of Arunachal Pradesh is not new and urged the PM to bring the issue tactfully before the Chinese premier.

Ering also stressed on the signing of a water treaty between India and China over the Siang river.

The MP said that people of the northeast have a natural right to clean and continuous water of the river.
