After inspecting the CHC building, the minister urged landowners to consider donating land for hospital construction as an act of humanity and selflessness.

Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister P. Paiwang Konyak on Tuesday, stressed that land donors placing conditions have become a major hurdle for the government in completing development projects on time. He made the statement during the second phase of his statewide tour under the “Viksit Nagaland for Viksit Bharat” initiative, while visiting the upgraded Community Health Centre (CHC) at Satakha in Zunheboto district.

After inspecting the CHC building, the minister urged landowners to consider donating land for hospital construction as an act of humanity and selflessness. He assured the people that he remains fully committed to developing the CHC into a model facility and sought cooperation from both land donors and local citizens.

Minister Paiwang Konyak also announced that once the CHC becomes fully functional, the government will strengthen the number of health workers posted there to ensure better services for the public.

He called on civil society leaders to encourage citizens to register under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and Ayushman Bharat, so that no individual is deprived of free and quality healthcare services.

The minister further warned that the government will continue to cancel licenses of pharmacies operating without proper documents or being run by unqualified individuals. “Cancellation will continue as per the law,” he said firmly.

In a separate meeting, the minister urged BJP party workers of Zunheboto district to continue supporting the government’s efforts to fulfill the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Viksit Nagaland for Viksit Bharat.”

He also inspected the ongoing construction of the new District Hospital in Zunheboto, accompanied by local MLA and Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, LMCP K. T. Sukhalu. The minister was joined by the Secretary, Principal Director, and several senior officials from the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
