Captain of Sikkim Senior Men’s Cricket team, Nilesh Lamichaney to play for UK’s Barnoldswick Cricket Club

Nilesh has been Sikkim's outstanding batsman in under-age competitions, he was appointed to captain Sikkim in their inaugural competition at List A level.

In a major boost to the world of sports in Sikkim, the captain of Sikkim Senior Men’s Cricket team, Nilesh Lamichaney is all set to play for UK’s Barnoldswick Cricket Club.

Born on September 4, 1991 Nilesh Lamichaney made his List A debut for Sikkim in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 20 September 2018.

Nilesh was appointed to captain Sikkim in their inaugural competition at List A level.
On September 21, 2018, he became the first Sikkim player to score a century, scoring 123 against Arunachal Pradesh in the team’s second encounter.

He made his first-class debut for Sikkim in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy on November 1, 2018, and his Twenty20 debut in the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on February 21, 2019.

Lamichaney is a right-handed batter and also bowls leg spin. Lamichaney is set to join fellow Indian Tanay Sanghavi in Barnoldswick.
