Parajuli slammed the CM for his silence on the pressing problem of unemployment, which he said, affects 21 percent of youth in the state.
The Citizen Action Party (CAP) has levelled serious allegations against the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), accusing the government of neglecting the concerns of the people and important issues like employment, law and order and safety and security of the masses.
CAP spokesperson Prakash Parajuli, accused the SKM of focusing solely on their party’s interests rather than addressing the concerns of the people.
Parajuli slammed Chief Minister PS Tamang for his silence on the pressing problem of unemployment, which he said affects 21 percent of youth in the state.
He added that political violence has increased on a daily basis in the state, holding the SKM party accountable for the rising trend.
Parajuli further added that the spread of lumpy virus among cattle has severely affected farmers who rely solely on milk production for income. The CAP accused the government of inadequate action to address the crisis.
“Lumpy disease has severely impacted milk production, causing a 30-40% milk production in the state.
The poor road conditions are hampering the efforts of veterinary workers to reach affected areas, resulting in a lack of proper treatment for the livestock”, he added.
Another CAP representative, Mahesh Rai, highlighted the concerns about the tender system in the medical sector, alleging that tenders are being awarded to a single bidder at inflated prices.
The SKM government failed to deliver on their promise to regularize employees made during the 2019 elections, Rai claimed.
