Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan Stabbed in Midnight Robbery Attempt. Here is What Happened

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during a robbery attempt at his Bandra West residence in the early hours of Thursday. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the incident occurred around 2:30 am when an unidentified robber broke into the house and allegedly attacked the actor while he was asleep with his family present in the home.
Saif’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were at home during the incident and are currently by his side at the hospital. The family resides in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West.
The assailant fled the scene after other occupants woke up, and police are currently working to trace him. Bandra Police have initiated the process of registering an FIR, while multiple teams have been deployed to apprehend the culprit. A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident, stating, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. It is unclear whether he was stabbed or injured during a scuffle with the robber. The Mumbai crime branch is also conducting a parallel investigation into the matter.”
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, provided an update on the actor’s condition. “Saif was attacked by an unidentified person at his residence and was brought to the hospital at 3:30 am. He has sustained six injuries, two of which are deeper, with one close to his spine. He is undergoing surgery conducted by a team comprising neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. We will be able to ascertain the full extent of the damage only after the surgery is completed.”
Dr. Uttamani added that one of the injuries on the actor’s neck is under evaluation. The surgery, which began at 5:30 am, was ongoing at the time of the report.
Saif Ali Khan, known for his debut in the 1993 film Parampara, has delivered numerous acclaimed performances in movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Omkara, and Tanhaji. A member of the Pataudi family, Saif is the son of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan.
