Blood-soaked Body of Man Found Inside Krishnapur Tea Garden in Tripura

Tension gripped the Krishnapur tea garden area under Simna in West Tripura on Saturday after the discovery of a blood-soaked body of a young man lying inside the garden.

Upon receiving the information, Officer-in-Charge of Sundartilla Outpost, Dhrubajyoti Debbarma, rushed to the scene and cordoned off the entire area to preserve the crime scene for investigation. Later, senior officials including West Tripura Additional Superintendent of Police Himadri Prasad Das, Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sabyasachi Debnath, and OC of Sidai Police Station Mangesh Patari arrived at the spot with a large police force. A forensic team and the dog squad also joined the investigation.

Speaking to the media, SDPO Sabyasachi Debnath confirmed that the deceased had been identified as Bikash Debnath, son of Shashadhar Debnath, a resident of Nath Para in Gopalnagar, Mohanpur and by profession an e-rickshaw driver.

There were injuries mark in the body and police later recovered the mobile phone of the deceased by the roadside at Kapalibasti area, some eight Km away from where the body has be recovered.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the murder was pre-planned.

According to the victim’s family, Bikash had gone missing since Friday evening. Although the family promptly informed the police, it was only on Saturday that his lifeless body was discovered.

The incident has sparked widespread concern in the area. Police have launched a full-scale investigation and assured that the mystery behind the murder will soon be unraveled.
