BJP takes out ‘Nabanna Cholo’ march against corruption by TMC in WB

Notably, the West Bengal Police has denied permission for the saffron party's 'Nabanna Abhiyan' march to the State secretariat.
The Bharatiya Janata Party held the mega ‘Nabanna Cholo’ rally today to protest against the alleged corrupt practices of the ruling TMC government.
BJP workers and police clashed outside the Raniganj railway station as workers left for Kolkata for the Nabanna Cholo rally also came to the fore today morning amid heightened security to stop the saffron party cadres from reaching the Bengal secretariat.
Notably, the West Bengal Police has denied permission for the saffron party’s ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’ march to the State secretariat.
The BJP’s ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’ against the alleged corrupt practices of the TMC government in West Bengal was led by its senior leaders including state party president Sukanta Majumdar, Leader of Opposition in WB assembly Suvendu Adhikari, Union Ministers of State Subhas Sarkar and Shantanu Thakur, MP SS Ahluwalia, MLA Agnimitra Paul, Dilip Ghosh, and various others.
The saffron party today took out three major rallies from Howrah ground, College Square, and Santraganchi which were led by Sukanta Majumdar, Dilip Ghosh, and Suvendu Adhikari
Earlier, speaking to the media BJP West Bengal president Sukanta Majumdar said that the Police are behaving like TMC cadres and are stopping people to attend the Nabanna Rally.
He further said that BJP did the Nabanna march last time when section 144 was imposed, and they will do it again.
Meanwhile, the saffron party hired seven trains to bring its party members and supporters from different parts of West Bengal to join the Nabanna Abhijan, against the alleged corrupt practices of the TMC government.
However, the BJP claimed that the TMC-run administration is trying to create hurdles in the way of supporters willing to come to join the rally.
