Bihar Women Caught with 21.65 kg of Cannabis in Agartala, Arrested by GRP

Two women from Bihar were arrested at Agartala railway station while attempting to smuggle 21.65 kg of dry ganja, a senior Government Railway Police (GRP) official said on Monday.
Inspector Tapas Das, Officer-in-Charge of the Agartala GRP station, stated that the accused, Sunita Devi from Patna and Rita Devi from Vaishali, planned to transport the contraband to Bihar by train.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them.
Both women were produced before the court on Monday, with police seeking their remand for further interrogation. Officials aim to uncover potential links in the drug trafficking network.
Authorities continue efforts to curb narcotics smuggling in the region.
