In a big boost to infrastructure and development for the state of Arunachal Pradesh, the state govt under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu signed and exchanged MOUs with 17 private investors for projects worth Rs 1200 crore.

The MOUs with private investors across sectors like tourism and hospitality, oil and gas, retail, power, equipment manufacturing and sports has the potential to create over 8000 gainful employment opportunities in the state.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also inaugurated two new tourist circuits in the state at Tawang in the presence of Union Minister of State for Tourism K J Alphons.

The two new tourist circuits are Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Tawang project and Nafra-Seppa-Pappu, Pasa, Pakke Valleys-Sangdupota-New Sagali-Ziro-Yomcha project.

Speaking on the occasion, Khandu said the state has received tremendous support from the Narendra Modi government at the Centre in the tourism sector.

Rs 100 crore for Nafra-Seppa-Sagali-Ziro-Yomcha project and Rs 50 crore for the Bhalukpong-Bomdila-Tawang tourism project has been sanctioned by the Centre, informed the Chief Minister.

He also went on to thank Alphons for his kind presence in the inauguration ceremony.
