Bharat Basnet Quits Citizen Action Party: Former Citizen Action Party (CAP) president Bharat Basnet has officially resigned from the party, citing his strong opposition to repeated verbal attacks on Sikkim by the party leadership.

In his resignation letter addressed to the party president, Basnet expressed deep disappointment and emotional distress over the remarks made against the state. He stated that the leadership’s comments compelled him to step down from the party’s primary membership.

Bharat Basnet Quits Citizen Action Party

While announcing his resignation, Basnet also extended an apology to his fellow party members if his decision caused them any distress.

Following his announcement, CAP formally accepted his resignation.
