Assam’s 9-year-old Binita Chetry has created history by becoming the first contestant from Assam and the entire Northeast India to reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT). She delivered a powerful dance performance in the semi-final, won the public vote, and earned her spot in the live grand finale of Britain’s Got Talent 2025, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, at 7 PM.

After her win in the semi-final, Binita told the hosts Ant and Dec, “I’m feeling very thankful. I’ve worked very hard for the semi-final, and I’m going to do my best for the finals.”

Binita, who hails from Assam, danced her way into the hearts of millions and became an instant sensation. Earlier in a viral video clip she shared about her journey to the BGT stage that it has always been her dream to perform on Britain’s Got Talent. “I came here with my father,” she said sweetly, adding, “I want to win and buy a pink princess house.” Her innocence and confidence won the hearts of the judges and the audience alike.

The judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, praised her for her poise, energy, and charm, calling her performance “truly magical.” Her answers during the judges’ questions melted hearts and brought smiles to the audience.

Joining Binita in the finals is magician Harry Moulding, who promised fans that his final act would be “taken higher than ever before.” Ant and Dec have revealed the official line-up for the live grand finale of BGT 2025, which includes, Binita Chetry, Harry Moulding, Joseph Charm, Hear Our Voice, Jasmine Rice, Ping, Pong, Pang, Ollie Pearson, Stacey Leadbeatter, Blackouts, Vinny McKee.

Binita Chetry, despite being just 9 years old, has shown incredible strength, talent, and composure throughout the competition. With her performance in the finale just days away, fans from Assam and across the world are cheering her on, hoping to see her lift the BGT 2025 trophy.
