Assam Shocker: Man Kidnaps 8-Year-Old Girl, Murders Her and Buries in His Own Compound

Is killing someone really so easy now? Has humanity stooped so low that the life of a child means nothing? In yet another chilling incident, an 8-year-old girl from Barpeta, Assam, was kidnapped, murdered, and buried in a pit inside the compound of the accused’s own house in Kamarpara village, on June 29, the day the young girl was abducted.
The kidnapper, identified as Majidul Islam, initially demanded a ransom of Rs 1 lakh from the family. But instead of releasing the child after getting the money, he decided to kill her, something that has stunned everyone.
After killing the girl, Majidul Islam buried her body in his house premises, trying to hide the crime. When the news of the kidnapping and possible murder began to spread, local residents stormed the house, dug up the compound, and recovered the body of the girl.
Shock quickly turned into rage. Hundreds of furious locals gathered at the scene, and in a wave of justified outrage, burnt down the house of the accused.
Police soon arrived at the scene and arrested Majidul Islam. During initial interrogation, he confessed to the crime and even revealed the names of two accomplices — Suleman Ali and Sahidul Islam. Both have since been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
Residents of Kamarpara and neighbouring villages are demanding the harshest punishment for the accused, with many calling for a fast-track trial and capital punishment.
