Assam Police Detains Four Bangladeshi Nationals At Indo-Bangladesh Border

The operation underscores the continued vigilance of Assam Police in securing the region and preventing illegal border crossings.

Assam Police on Tuesday night apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals who had attempted to cross the international border.

The Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Habil, Jakariya, Naim and Aliul SK.

The four individuals were later pushed back to the Bangladesh side.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the report in a post on X. He wrote, “Zero Tolerance for Illegal Infiltration. Under strict vigil along the international border, four Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by @assampolice near the border and pushed back.”

The operation underscores the continued vigilance of Assam Police in securing the region and preventing illegal border crossings.

Earlier on Sunday, Assam Police successfully apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Labono and Bijli, while maintaining strict surveillance along the Indo-Bangladesh border. The individuals were detained and subsequently pushed back across the border.
