Assam observed Swahid Divas today, with the All Assam Students’ Union paying their rich tributes to the martyrs of Assam Movement throughout the State on the occasion of Swahid Divas.
Assam observed Swahid Divas today, with the All Assam Students’ Union paying their rich tributes to the martyrs of Assam Movement throughout the State on the occasion of Swahid Divas.
Swahid Divas is observed every year by the students’ body in memory of the 855 people who lost their lives during the six year long Assam Movement.
AASU chief advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya, President Dipanka Kumar Nath and general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi attended a tribute programme at Nehru Park in Guwahati.
All the district and regional units of AASU organised similar programmes in their respective areas.
