Assam HS Result 2025 Declared: Girls Outshine Boys Across Streams, Science Tops with 84.88% Pass Rate

This year’s results saw a strong performance across streams, with female students consistently surpassing male students.
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) officially announced the results of the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations 2025 today. Students from all three streams Arts, Science, and Commerce can now access their results via the official ASSEB websites.
This year’s results saw a strong performance across streams, with female students consistently surpassing male students. Notably, the board did not release a toppers’ list for any stream this year.
Arts Stream
In the Arts stream, 2,26,756 students appeared for the exam. A total of 1,84,745 passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 81.03%. The First Division was secured by 49,577 students, the Second Division by 80,650, and the Third Division by 53,518. Girls led with a pass percentage of 82.95%, outpacing boys at 78.42%.
District-wise Highlights:
Baksa topped with a 95.21% pass rate.
Darrang followed closely at 93.82%.
Cachar recorded the lowest performance at 58.96%.
Other high-performing districts included *Sivasagar (90.78%), Lakhimpur (90.50%), and Dhemaji (89.82%).
Science Stream
Out of 56,909 students in the Science stream, 48,309 passed, achieving an impressive 84.88% overall pass rate. The First Division was achieved by 25,827 students, the Second Division by 19,286, and the Third Division by 3,196. Female students once again led the chart with 85.54%, slightly higher than male students at 84.39%.
Top Districts:
West Karbi Anglong achieved a 100% pass rate.
Sivasagar followed with 97.13%, and Baksa ranked third with 95.66%.
Dima Hasao recorded the lowest pass rate in Science at 56.27%.
Commerce Stream
A total of 17,746 students took the Commerce exams, with 14,584 passing resulting in a pass percentage of 82.18%. The First Division was achieved by 6,519 students, Second Division by 5,760, and Third Division by 2,305. Girls marginally outperformed boys again, with pass rates of 82.40% and 82.08%, respectively.
District Highlight:
South Salmara topped with a 100% pass rate from its 11 students 2 securing First Division and 9 in Second Division.
Vocational Stream
In the Vocational stream, the overall pass percentage stood at 68.55%, with female students once again leading at 74.39%, compared to male students at 65.53%.
The Assam HS Result 2025 shows an encouraging academic trend with strong performances across all streams and consistent outperformance by female students.
