A shocking incident of misutilization of a government office building has come to light, leaving the public astonished and raising questions about the irresponsible behaviour of the authorities. The Central Excise Department building at Shivbari Road in the Karimganj district of Assam was allegedly converted into a marriage hall, beautifully decorated for a reception held on Monday night. The incident has sparked concerns regarding the misuse of government property for personal events.
The entire building was adorned with colourful decorations, and a lively musical band entertained the guests.
The incident has left many wondering how the Central Excise office, meant for official purposes, was rented out for a private function.

Officials from the Central Excise department in Karimganj have not yet commented on the incident.
