In a major boost to Assam, laboratory at the Fakruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta has been accredited by the India Council for Medical Research (ICMR) for COVID-19 testing.
With this, the Medical College in Barpeta has become the fifth COVID-19 testing Centre in Assam.
Other than the Medical College in Barpeta, COVID-19 testing labs are also in place at Gauhati Medical College, Jorhat Medical College, Silchar Medical College and Dibrugarh Medical College.
