First Published: 2nd January, 2023 19:59 IST

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reacts to the historic move by the Supreme Court to uphold the decision of the Central government in 2016 to demonetise the currency notes

A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Justice S A Nazeer, pronounced its verdict on the matter. Interestingly, Justice Nazeer will retire on January 4.
