Assam CM said, " PM Modi sent a clear message to the world that we will eliminate every terrorist, no matter where they hide."
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for eliminating over 100 terrorists in recent precision strikes conducted under Operation Sindoor. He also warned that Indian forces would deliver a “befitting reply” if Pakistan violates the ongoing ceasefire.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “The Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) explained all the strikes Indian armed forces carried out in Pakistan. No country has ever eliminated over 100 militants in another country. The Prime Minister sent a clear message to the world that we will eliminate every terrorist, no matter where they hide. Today, the Prime Minister has kept his word.”
Operation Sindoor, a high-stakes military mission, was aimed at punishing the perpetrators and planners of major terror attacks, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2019 Pulwama attack. DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, while detailing the operation, said, “Our forces eliminated more than 100 terrorists, including high-value targets like Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudasir Ahmed, who were involved in the IC-814 hijacking and the Pulwama blast that killed 40 CRPF jawans.”
Ghai added that the strikes targeted nine key terror hubs, delivering a clear message of India’s zero tolerance for terrorism. He emphasized that the operation was carefully planned to “punish the perpetrators and dismantle their terror infrastructure.”
