Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that of the fresh 47 cases, 21 are from Golaghat district, 4 from Lakhimpur district, 8 from Morigaon district, 3 from Goalpara, 1 from Hojai, 2 from Karbi Anglong, 2 from Nagaon and 3 cases from Guwahati with one case reported from MMCH and two cases from GMC Hospital.
“47 new cases of #COVID19+ reported. 21 Golaghat, 4 Lakhimpur, 8 Morigaon, Goalpara 3, Hojai 1, MMCH 1, Karbi Anglong 2, Nagaon 5,” tweeted Himanta Biswa Sarma.

As many as 156 cases were reported from across the state yesterday, making it the biggest single-day spike in coronavirus cases so far.
It needs to be mentioned that all the samples for swab tests were collected before the individuals were sent to quarantine facilities after their return from other parts of the nation.
