Arunachal’s Tirap becomes first district in the state to achieve 100% tap water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission

In a significant achievement, Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh has become the first district in the state to provide 100 per cent Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) under the Har Ghar Jal Jeevan Mission.

This give every household, school, and Anganwadi in the district to access to safe tap water.

According to reports, around 10,098 rural households along with schools and Anganwadis now have access to safe tap water in Tirap district.

Jal Jeevan Mission Cell of Arunachal Pradesh took to X to congratulate the dedicated team behind this achievement.

The Jal Jeevan Mission is an initiative of the Government of India, to ensure that every rural household in the country has access to safe and sufficient drinking water through individual household tap connections by the year 2024.
