Arunachal’s Sonam Zomba wins women’s strawweight championship at 13th edition of MFN

In a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh, Sonam Zomba won the women’s strawweight championship title at the 13th edition of the Matrix Fight Night (MFN) held in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She won the title fight in the women’s strawweight category by a knockout.

Sonam Zomba is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) champion and is a resident of Jang village in Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, congratulated Sonam Zomba for her remarkable achievement in the MFN.

Taking to X, CM Pema Khandu posted, “Congratulations to Miss Sonam Zomba for winning the title fight in the women’s strawweight category by a knockout in the 13th edition of the Matrix Fight Night (MFN).

Miss Zomba, a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) champion, is a resident of Jang village in Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh. I convey my best wishes to her for future endeavours.”
