Arunachal Wado-Kai Shines at National Karate Championship with 17 Medals

Yarda Niki, President of the Arunachal Wado-Kai Association and Arunachal Pradesh Amateur Karate-Do Association, lauded the athletes.

The Arunachal Wado-Kai Association achieved remarkable success at the 7th All India Wado-Kai National Karate Championship held in Darjeeling, West Bengal, from 31 May to 1 June, bagging a total of 17 medals – 8 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze.

Among the top performers was John Dodum, who earned a gold in Kumite and a silver in Kata. Ekhya Riang was impressive in the junior category winning a gold in Kumite and a silver in Kata. Takar Guha secured a gold in Kata and a silver in Kumite, while Kyaling Nilo took home a gold in Kumite.

Sadu Jeram clinched a gold in Kumite and a bronze in Kata in the junior category.
Ajay Rotom stood out by winning two gold medals in Kumite and Kata. Bamang Niglar contributed a silver in Kumite and a bronze in Kata, and Likha Taka won a bronze in Kumite and a gold in Kata in the senior category. Kunal Das rounded off the tally with a silver in Kumite.

Yarda Niki, President of the Arunachal Wado-Kai Association and Arunachal Pradesh Amateur Karate-Do Association, lauded the athletes and expressed immense pride in their achievements.
