Arunachal reports one more COVID-19 positive case; tally reaches 3

The number of COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 3 as one more person have tested positive for coronavirus in the State.

The fresh Covid positive person had returned from Chennai recently and was under mandatory institutional quarantine. The condition of the asymptomatic patient is reported to be normal.

This takes the total number of COVID-19 cases in the frontier state to 3, out of which 2 are active cases.

It may be mentioned that the last case in the state was detected on May 24, when a student who had returned from new Delhi by bus had tested positive.

Arunachal Pradesh Health Minister Alo Libang speaking exclusively to Northeast Live on the rise in number of cases informed that over 6,000 persons have returned to the State so far and samples of 5,338 persons have been collected. Results of 1,101 samples are still awaited.

Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh Health Minister also informed that every district and every block in the State is in all readiness to combat COVID-19.
