Continuing the war on drugs in Arunachal Pradesh, Namsai police conducted four successful drug raids and arrested as many as six drug peddlers in the last three days.

Out of the 6 peddlers, 5 were arrested in Namsai, while the other was apprehended in Chonkham.

Two peddlers, Padmini Phalong and Ganesh Phalung, were arrested in Namsai and Three soap cases containing white and orange powdery substances were seized from the duo.

Two more drug peddlers, identified as Chow Sunaling Choutang and Surya Kujur, were also arrested in Namsai. Three soap cases containing a whitish-orange powdery contraband substance suspected to be heroin were recovered from the duo.

Phota Sonowal, also from Namsai, was arrested with five soap cases containing a whitish-orange powdery contraband substance suspected to be heroin.

In Chongkham, one person identified as Febusa Mining was arrested with 160 strips of opium-smeared clothes weighing 2.3 kilogrammes.
