Arunachal Leaders Unite to Discuss ‘One Nation, One Election’ Reform

Leaders from all political parties in Arunachal Pradesh came together to discuss the ‘One Nation, One Election’ reform during a seminar hosted by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The discussion focused on the potential impact of synchronised elections across India.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, cabinet ministers, MLAs, BJP National Secretary Anil K. Antony, and Rajiv Gandhi University Associate Professor K. Pratap Singh participated in the seminar.
Chief Minister Khandu highlighted the benefits of the initiative, emphasizing that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the reform aims to enhance administrative efficiency, reduce electoral disruptions, and ensure stable governance. He urged all political stakeholders to support the proposal in the nation’s best interest.
BJP National Secretary Anil K. Antony described ‘One Nation, One Election’ as one of the most progressive and transformative reforms introduced by the Modi government. He stated that synchronising national and state elections would reduce disruptions, lower financial burdens, and improve governance.
Antony also pointed out that the proposal aligns with India’s constitutional framework and aims to strengthen democratic participation. He said that with careful planning and phased implementation, the reform could create a more efficient, responsive, and streamlined government, ultimately benefiting both citizens and the nation.
