Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Lays Foundation for Key Infrastructure Projects, to Boost Connectivity and Sports in Shi-Yomi District

He reiterated his government’s commitment to bringing development to the doorsteps of the people.

In a significant push towards enhancing connectivity and promoting sports in the remote regions of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu laid the foundation stone for several key infrastructure projects in Shi-Yomi district.

The new projects include the construction of the Township Road at Tato, a motorable Bailey Suspension Bridge over Yargapchu to connect Gautse River Island in Menchuka, and a steel composite bridge at Tsenang (Farge) to connect Mechukha village.

He also laid the foundation for the construction of a multipurpose sports stadium at Monigong, a road from the PWD Road to Roing village under Pidi Circle, and a cement concrete road at Drongsar. These projects are expected to significantly improve transportation facilities and strengthen rural connectivity in the district.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu also inaugurated a Multipurpose Indoor Hall at Menchuka. This facility is seen as a big step forward in nurturing young sporting talent and promoting a culture of fitness and sports among the youth in the region.

He reiterated his government’s commitment to bringing development to the doorsteps of the people, especially in the far-flung areas of the state.

Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona was present at the event.
