Amritpal Singh’s aides lodged in Assam jail receiving good care: Daljit Kalsi’s wife

Daljit Kalsi's wife Neeru Kalsi and son Simarjeet (Sunny) Kalsi arrived in Dibrugarh Central jail today and met him in Dibrugarh jail

All the nine members of the pro-Khalistan group led by Amritpal Singh–‘Waris Punjab De’ lodged in Dibrugarh jail are receiving good care inside the jail, said actor Sarabjit Singh alias Daljit Kalsi’s wife Neeru Kalsi who meet him today in the jail.

Daljit Kalsi’s wife Neeru Kalsi and son Simarjeet (Sunny) Kalsi arrived in Dibrugarh Central jail today to meet Daljit who along with 8 other members of Waris Punjab De including Harjeet Singh, uncle of absconding pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh are lodged in the jail since March 19, 2023.

After meeting her husband, Neeru Kalsi speaking to the media said, “They are absolutely fine and are being nicely treated inside the jail. They are fed well and have been given proper sleeping arrangements. Moreover, whatever they demand to eat they get.”

The lodged Amritpal aides are– Daljit Singh Kalsi, Varinder Singh Johal, Papalpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Harjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Basant Singh, Bhagwant Singh and Gurinderpal Singh Aujla.

It may be mentioned here that they were lodged in the Dibrugarh Central Jail after they were arrested in Punjab for their pro-Khalistan stand and have been charged under the stringent National Security Act.

Their arrests is part of Punjab Police and the Centre’s crackdown against ‘Waris Punjab De’, a Sikh-separatist political group based in Punjab, India, that propagates the cause of an independent Khalistan.
