In a proud moment for Nagaland, Ruopfuzhano Whiso was crowned as the 4th runner up in the prestigious Miss Universe India 2024, in a dazzling finale held on Sunday in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Whiso has etched her name in history by becoming the first representative from the Northeast and Nagaland to reach the Top 5 of the prestigious Miss Universe India pageant.

Bollywood actress and Miss Universe 2015, Urvashi Rautela, crowned Whiso with a magnificent crown.
Prior to this, Zuchobeni Tungoe from Nagaland reached the Top 7 in the Liva Miss Diva 2023, besides winning two subtitles.

Whiso’s victory has brought glory to the state and the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland.

Meanwhile, Rhea Singha, the 19-year old from Gujarat, won the Miss Universe India 2024 title. She will now represent India on the global stage at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant later this year in Mexico.
Delhi girl Pranjal Priya took home the 1st Runner-Up title, while Chhavi Verg from New Jersey, US secured the 2nd Runner-Up position and Sushmita Roy from Kolkata was the 3rd Runner up.

Who is Ruopfuzhano Whiso?

Hailing from Khonoma village, Nagaland, 25-year-old Whiso did her Masters in English from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

She was also crowned as 1st runner up Miss Nagaland 2017 and Miss Kohima 2017. In 2018, Rupfuzhanuo Whiso also represented Nagaland in the Femina Miss India.

She is a model, entrepreneur, and show host.
