If rash driving came out as one of the prominent reasons for such accidents, locals also held National Highway authorities responsible for negligence.

Residents in the district pointed out that not putting proper signage at diversions, sharp curves, dumping of soil on roads, and non-completion of ongoing works on National Highways are some of the key reasons for the mishaps taking place.
