A Bangladeshi and an Indian national arrested with huge quantity of drugs in Tripura

The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as--Aryan Hossain, from Bangladesh and Sharvan Kumar from Bihar
In its commitment towards making the state drugs free, the Tripura Police have arrested a Bangladeshi national and a Indian national with huge quantity of drugs in two seperate operations.
Based on secret information, a team of Sonamura Police Station on Monday conducted a searh operation in Kulubari, a bordering village at Sonamura in the Sepahijala district.
During the operation, the police team found a Bangladeshi national in possession of 900 yaba tablets, raising suspicions of his involvement in drug smuggling activities, said Paritosh Das, the Office In-charge of Sonamura Police Station.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as–Aryan Hossain, hails from the Comilla district of Bangladesh.
Paritosh Das said that Aryan Hossain had entered the state without any legal documentation to collect the contraband items.
A case has been registered against Hossain under the Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Passport Act for entering the state without legal documentation.
Earlier today, Hossain has attempted to flee from Police custody, however could not succeed.
In a separate incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested a man from Bihar with 21 kilograms of dry ganja (cannabis).
The arrested man has been identified as-Sharvan Kumar, a resident of Athmagola, Bihar.
