2 Held in Connection with Tripura’s Oct 25 Firing Incident

Two people identified as Sandip Kar and Prantosh Das arrested in connection to the firing incident

Two people were held in connection with the sensational firing incident of October 25, 2022, at Natun Nagar, in the outskirts of Agartala. The miscreants who sustained bullet injuries have been arrested, along with a pistol suspected to have used in the firing incident, said police.

The accused have been identified as Sandip Kar and Prantosh Das. They were arrested on Thursday night.

A case has been registered at the West Agartala police station.

Along with the pistol, the police also recovered a magazine and one live cartridge. The SDPO said that the pistol has been sent for forensic analysis to determine if it was used in the recent shooting incident.

Two other people were arrested in connection with the same incident, and police are looking for a few more people who are suspected of being involved in the negotiation activity with the arrested people.
