Villagers confront cops over eviction drive in Manipur
Clashes broke out between villagers and Police personnel during an eviction drive in Churachandpur on Monday. According to reports, the eviction drive was carried out at K. Songjang village, situated along the Old Cachar road, about 30 kilometres from Bishnupur district headquarters. Soon after, the eviction team was confronted by the villagers who opposed the eviction drive. The protesting villagers clashed with the Police force where a number of villagers sustained minor injuries
