Centre Extends deadline for Bru Resettlement in Tripura

The date for resettlement of Mizoram Bru displaced people in Tripura has been further extended. This was informed by Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Saha while speaking to reporters on his arrival from New Delhi on Wednesday following a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Historic Assam Adivasi accord signed

The Centre and Assam government today signed a tripartite peace accord with 8 Adivasi militant outfits of Assam in New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah,Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were present on the occasion. HM shah called it a historic day for Assam and Northeast.

8 Adivasi insurgent groups from Assam to sign Peace Accord

As many as 8 Adivasi insurgent groups from Assam are all set to sign a peace accord termed the Adivasi Accord in New Delhi on Thursday in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Around 1200 cadres will join the mainstream as part of the agreement.
